In air duct systems made using Spiralo pressed and non-pressed circular fittings, the connections must be taped up in order to conform to airtightness class ATC3. By doing so, you can meet the requirements of the NEN EN 1506 and NEN EN 12237 standards for airtightness.
Our circular metal Spiralo fittings are highly durable and dimensionally stable. The comprehensive Spiralo range, which includes bends, reducers, dampers and T-pieces, is available from Ø80 mm to Ø630 mm. These standardised products are ETIM classified.
A ventilation system with a circular design is less susceptible to pollution and clogging because the airflow moves at virtually the same speed across the entire width of the circular ducts. This leads to less air resistance. That, in turn, results in a lower air speed, less noise and no draught. In other words: a more comfortable interior climate.
Circular fittings are lightweight and therefore easy to install and fit together. Note that the connections need to be finished with tape. Most circular ventilation systems are installed using a single-point suspension system rather than a two-point suspension system.
Are you looking for products that are easy and quick to install without tape? Use our KEN-LOK fittings: the standard for airtightness, easy installation and time saved.
